This whole summer vacation shenanigan is kind of annoying, but helpful for traveling. I've already got hotels planned out, where I need them, which I don't, often. The longest stay will be in Africa, for about two weeks. I need to work on my garden, and put some birds in the greenhouse. My company doesn't need to stay that long, but he's welcome to.

These finals don't seem that hard... Art was, possibly, the hardest, but my puppet should go through nicely. If I get anything less than an "A", I'll consider the school system to be overly fucked.

I like these Italian ices! I got brain freeze, though...

By the way... some of the girls in this school are rather... limited in vocabulary. "And I was, like, omigawd, no way!" "Omigawd are you serious?" "Yes, I'm, like, totally serious, omigawd!" "Omigawd!" "I know, right, like, gawd!"

That's an actual conversation by actual people and I could identify them if I saw them again.

How did they get into college? Visit the board directors in private?

The Sarah Cat is going to be in Kenya. I tried putting it off but she's relentless. Such a pain... so, going from tomorrow to Sunday, then going straight to West Virginia to cool off.

It's a good thing I have my professors under my thumb and they let me take off, otherwise I'd fail the semester.

Pack accordingly, Batman, and bring good walking shoes you're not overly fond of for Kenya.

Today at Starbucks... a lady just handed me her baby. Just handed it to me! Then she wandered away to the bathroom, then went outside, had a smoke, and then came back to find her child on the floor.

Do I look like the sort of person who can be trusted with infants?

I have a bruise on my hip that's a delicious shade of purple and spans for almost ten inches. I need to work on my bicycle kicks.

I'm out of paints entirely. That art store is so shifty. I can never find it twice. I saw one, once, while I was driving home from the docks, and then could never find it again. Perhaps it is only viewable on Wednesdays, or when one is particularly sunburned, or when one is in a decidedly foul temper.

I suppose I'll go back to carving. I have a project I need to work on; I just need some bleach and blue hair dye.

Well, that was terribly embarrassing. Not only did I miss the first Rock-climbing expedition, but for what? A whale watch with no whales. A waste of four days of my life, and I have the sunburn to prove it.

Thankfully, though, I'll be able to officially start soccer practices, now that my foot is completely healed! I'm pleased.

I got to hand in my photography portfolio to my teacher before I left on Friday, though. She came to me at lunch today and felt it her solemn duty as an over-passionate teacher to commend me. Ahh, tripods...

I need a hair cut. And some aloe. My plants aren't cooperating at all.

It seems there is a graveyard a block away from school! How odd! I've been in foreigners' graveyards before, but this one is massive! I think I'll use it for a background on my photo shoots! It's very pretty this time of year. Now all I need is a model or two... Maybe I'll ask my roommate! I haven't spoken with her yet but I've seen her!

Or I could ask... well, whatever his name is.

Is there an Arts and Crafts store around here? I'd like to make a trip, soon! I'm running short on paints, and I don't like the ones they sell in the school store...
